dreaming of a white christmas...

on christmas eve granddaddy read me "the night before christmas" and got me all fired up about santa coming. we tracked santa's sleigh on granddaddy's droid. i was worried we wouldn't get home in time for him to come to our house...

but, sure enough, santa came to my house...

and i had so much fun playing with my new toys...

my dad's a really good builder.

when granddaddy and grammy came for breakfast, the snow showed up, too!

it was a good thing santa's elves made me a new hat and gloves.

here i'm showing my cousin pearl my pooh bear ornament.

and nana and papa came for a great visit, too. what a great christmas!

thanksgiving at the farm

we went down to the farm the day after thanksgiving. grandaddy wanted to take me on a ride in the clays car, but all i wanted to do was fish. i was trying to catch a "stinky turtle," but they weren't biting. dad caught a bass and grandaddy captured the moment on his droid. mom's doing the play-by-play just like grandaddy used to do on her old movies.

happy halloween

grandaddy already supplied us with two beautiful pumpkins (thanks, grandaddy), but mom wanted to go to the patch for the full experience.

this isn't the pumpkin i chose, but it was a nice spot to take a little rest.

mom initially said we were only going to carve one pumpkin because we were getting dinner together at the same time. not good enough. i decided we needed to do all three.

for a couple of weeks now, i have been saying that i wanted to be a scary witch. check out the beautiful cape my mom made for me.

the wand won me over, and i was sold on being a wizard.

focus . . . pocus . . . socus . . .

ready to go. after the fifth house, mom started carrying me. she went home to hand out candy, and dad carried me the rest of the way around the block. i kept telling dad that pumpkin was heavy. he kept saying, 'tell me about it.'

one cute wizard costume + sunday night + few neighborhood kids = more loot for me

happy halloween.

progress

my dad has a drill. he built me this rock wall. i can climb it all by myself.

last night i got to swing for the first time on my new playground. it was so cold my dad had to bring the seat back inside so it wouldn't crack!

just in time for winter. my playground if finally finished (sort of).

jimbo and molly, sittin' in a tree...

everything at the farm looked so nice for uncle jimbo and aunt molly's wedding. it was just like that episode on caillou where his uncle gets married on a farm...only better!

my aunt molly looked so pretty. the dance floor was really cool. i had lots of fun spinning.

looks like my dad was having two drinks. i really enjoyed the fruit punch myself. thank goodness for oxi clean.

sharing is nice. congratulations jimbo and molly.

happy birthday, pearl!

a day of rest? not around here.

a shout-out to all those who appreciate the value of hard work. this labor day my dad decided to finally get cracking on my playground project.

the manager at costco said this thing would take 2 guys 2 days to assemble. well, we had 3 guys, and 3 days...

and look what we did!

no, it's not a pillory of shame. it's step 12 out of 36! HAPPY LABOR DAY to all the super dads, uncles, and little boys out there who are easily entertained by good weather, a hammer, and a tape measure! project to be continued...

last call for summer fun

riding the train at the zoo all by ourselves! aunt heather was really hot and would have rather been at the pool, but we still had fun.

hmmm. do you think we look ferocious on this lion's back?

charlie was an excellent coach on the slip n' slide. he know exactly what to do.

wasn't that hilarious, charlie?

my cousin claire is hardly the princess, never the complainer, and quite the little trooper.

how to eat a watermelon

granddaddy took me for a ride through the fields...

and we stopped for a snack.

mmmmm. watermelon.

mom, why aren't you eating any?

warm and juicy.

so good.
