it's official...

i'm huge. today at my six month checkup i found out that i'm 28 1/2 inches long. i weigh 18 pounds and 13 ounces. i'm 97th percentile for height and 75th for weight. i guess that means my protein shakes are working.

why the long face, barley?

is it because the air conditioner is broken again and there's a heat wave outside? maybe nana and papa will let you come to st. joe's with us. i hear you don't even need

air conditioning in michigan.

feeling better

after three trips to the doctor in two weeks,

i'm finally feeling better.

i'm six months old today...

and i can do lots of things! i rolled over this morning for the first time ever...in both directions...

i can play in my pool...

i can hang out in my jumper seat (for ten

minutes, then i get bored)...

and i can even sit in my high chair while eating lots

of oatmeal and fruit...

i am almost a big boy now! if only i could sit up and crawl, i think i wouldn't feel frustrated most of the time.

daddy's first father's day...

and we grilled beer brats and drank uncle benno's homemade blueberry beer. i gave dad a new bathrobe for when he has to wake up with me early in the morning. i spit up on it on the first day--so he would know it was from me. happy father's day daddy, granddaddy, papa, and grandpa.

i love my grandma

she took good care of me while my mom and dad were at work every day. i was a lot of work. but i'm cute, right grammy?

life's a beach…

it took us 12 hours to get home from captiva. it's a good thing i can take naps wherever--i did good on my first vacation.

one day...

i'll be able to keep up with my cousin charlie. right now he's bigger than i am. he can walk and talk and jump in the pool.

i think he's really neat.
